Collaboration announced at India Mobile Congress 2026 aims to help operators predict congestion, understand what is driving it, and act before customers feel the impact.
New Delhi, October 08, 2026: Amantya Technologies and Origami Networks today announced a strategic collaboration to jointly design, build and commercialize an AI-driven Capacity Optimization rApp on the Ericsson Intelligent Automation Platform (EIAP). The announcement was made at India Mobile Congress 2026, being held from October 7 to 10 in New Delhi.
Mobile networks are under relentless pressure. Data demand continues to grow, new services keep raising the bar on customer experience, and network capacity remains one of the most critical resources operators need to manage. Yet capacity management can still be reactive, with congestion sometimes addressed only after customers have felt its impact.
The Capacity Optimization rApp is designed to change that. Using AI models that analyze network performance data, it is intended to help operators forecast where and when capacity will run short, identify affected cells and understand the reasons behind congestion, and recommend actions aligned with network conditions and business priorities. The goal is to move operators from firefighting to foresight.
“Operators shouldn’t have to wait for customer complaints to find out where their network is under strain,” said Anuradha Gupta, CEO and Co-Founder, Amantya Technologies. “Amantya brings AI and digital engineering strength, from forecasting models to data pipelines to production-grade software. Origami brings deep network know-how, and EIAP gives us an open platform to deliver on. Together we are building an rApp that turns network data into early, actionable capacity decisions, helping operators protect customer experience and put investment where it matters most.”
“AI only earns its place in a network if it understands how that network behaves and gives operators visibility into the decisions it makes,” said Greg Agami, CEO and Co-Founder, Origami Networks. “Origami brings deep network expertise in how radio capacity is consumed, which KPIs signal trouble, how use cases such as FWA and emerging AI services are changing network demand, and what operators need from automation to manage capacity. Pairing that with Amantya’s AI engineering on an open platform like EIAP lets us give operators recommendations shaped around their own business priorities, not one-size-fits-all rules.”
The companies are targeting an operator proof-of-concept trial by MWC Barcelona 2027 and commercialization by the second quarter of 2027, including submission to the EIAP rApp directory.
The collaboration is also designed as a step toward greater network autonomy, supporting the evolution toward intent-based networks that can translate operator objectives into network actions through closed-loop automation with reduced manual intervention. Over time, this can help simplify network operations and reduce the cost of managing increasingly complex networks.
